Have you ever think about it? Let’s think about a baby who can’t choose to born in rich family or poor family.
Before we talk further about that, let’s think: “what is fair”.
Do anything that we say “fair” always “fair” for other people?

I read about this story in a book titled “Tangga Bumi Ke Surga” (Indonesian phrase of “Stairway from Earth to Heaven”) written by K.A.M Jusuf Roni.
A boy and his father go to the market to sell their horse. At first, they both ride that horse. On the way to the market, they go through a small village. On that village, people criticize: “Look at those two men, they do not love animal, how could a horse being ridden by two men, oh... pity horse.” After heard that, the father get off the horse and he decide to walk. After a while, they arrive at another village. People begin to grumble: “Look at the boy, he do not love his father, how could he let his father go on by foot while he ride a horse comfortably”. After heard that, the child ask his father to ride the horse and he decide to walk on his side. On the next village, another people complaining: “Look at that. That man was so selfish; he let her son walked while he thoughtlessly riding a horse.” After that, the poor man and his son thought for a while, and then they decided to carry the horse on their shoulder.

“Fair” is relative, do we think we are good enough to judge that God is unfair?
How about this fact: God has said, “It is hard for a rich man to enter kingdom of heaven”. (Mat 19:23). We know that’s true for most rich people. They have everything, so they don’t feel need God.

A baby who was born on poor family still has a good chance to end his life in success. God had beautiful promises for every of us, either born as poor or as rich baby, to be successful wherever we go (Josh 1:7). And we must remember, the measurement of success is not just money. It’s really much more than that. Years of living in this world are very short comparing to eternity after we died.

Still think God is unfair?
We are not smart enough to judge God about anything.
What we think fair is not definitely fair for other people and also for God.
Simply, just believe in Him, it won’t make you lose anything.

Just wanna add another point. "Success" is not what we become but how we become the way we were. What's count is the process not the result.

Sudah cukup lama saya selalu membaca tulisan Mr Yohan ini, tapi belakangan ini kenapa jarang sekali tulisannya muncul, ayo Mr Yohan mana lagi karanganmu....sedih dech penggemar setiamu ini....

To be born rich or poor is not a choice, that's true. But to become rich or poor-that's a choice that God leaves up to us
